Helping pastors flourish at home and in ministry through encouragement, coaching, and relational support.
Pastors face unique pressures and expectations. They serve under constant scrutiny, often feeling isolated, overburdened, and unsupported. Like everyone else, pastors have emotional, spiritual, and relational needs, yet these are often overlooked or assumed to be met. When those needs go unmet, pastors, their families, and their churches all feel the impact.
The Challenge
I come alongside pastors to care for their hearts and spiritual lives. By being a confidant, support, and encouragement to them I help them pursue health and vibrancy in all areas of life.
When pastors are thriving in relationship with God, their spouses, and their children, they are better equipped to shepherd their congregations – ensuring health and ministry longevity. Flourishing pastors help disciple congregations to be vibrant, impactful, and faith-filled churches.
The Opportunity
The Approach
My ministry focuses on deep relational work with pastors across the city. Through one-on-one meetings, small groups, and gatherings for mutual encouragement, I help pastors cultivate habits and relationships that sustain long-term spiritual and emotional health.
These relationships provide a safe space for pastors to be seen, heard, and supported – reminding them they are not alone. By investing deeply in pastors, I help strengthen the broader health of the urban church.
Support My Ministry
My work is made possible through the generosity of ministry partners who share a heart for seeing pastors flourish. Your partnership helps provide care, encouragement, and spiritual renewal for pastors throughout the Twin Cities, ensuring they can continue leading their congregations with joy and strength.

About Aaron Robertson
OUTREACH MINISTER
I have served in urban ministry for over 18 years, working with a diverse range of churches and leaders. For the first 15 years, I helped churches in areas such as evangelism, discipleship, outreach, youth ministry, short-term missions, and leadership development. Over time, I developed a deep burden to specifically serve pastors as I recognized the unique challenges they face. Through my work with CityJoy, I now focus on walking closely with pastors, encouraging them toward health and wholeness in every area of life and ministry.
Originally from Minnesota, I sensed a call to ministry early in life. What began as an interest in medical missions eventually became a calling to serve in local urban ministry. I hold a master’s degree in Missions and have spent years equipping and supporting leaders from many racial and ethnic backgrounds.
My wife and I live in New Brighton with our four children. My wife serves as a nurse at a local crisis pregnancy center, and our family is actively involved in our church, where I serve as an elder. When we’re not serving or leading, we can often be found cheering on our kids at various activities or enjoying time together as a family.
