Together For The Gospel And The City

The Heart Behind CityJoy

Our Vision: To transform the Twin Cities with the joy of the gospel: igniting hope, sharing love, and promoting restoration in urban communities.

Our Mission: CityJoy meets physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of urban communities through gospel-centered ministry, providing vital support, fostering collaboration, and building strong networks for lasting impact.

These values form the core of who we are at CityJoy and how we seek to live daily, in every situation.

  • Love - We seek to love the Lord our God and others as ourselves, including seeking the salvation of the lost.

  • Joy – We work from our joy in Christ.

  • Peace – We seek complete peace for the city through prayer and ministries of justice and mercy.

  • Together – We seek to use our diverse gifts to serve the city and one another.

Our beliefs are not simply words on paper. They are truths that shape our perceptions, guide our decisions, and form the foundation of how we see the world. We are deeply committed to them.

  • We believe God calls and uses us to seek the peace and welfare of the city through ministries of justice and mercy.

  • We believe each person is made in the image of God and therefore has value and worth.

  • We believe seeking the joy of all people includes both caring for their physical and emotional needs and sharing the gospel of eternal hope and joy.

  • We believe that ministries cooperating with one heart and mind have a greater potential for healthy impact.

  • We believe that the joy of the Lord is for all people.

  • We believe the city offers a disproportionately influential platform for spreading joy.

  • We believe that God works powerfully through prayer.

  • We believe that God calls us to love and welcome all our neighbors and to learn from them.

We strive to create change and drive impact, while enriching the Church through these strategies:

  • Operating urban ministries.

  • Making disciples of all peoples.

  • Engaging the brokenness of the Twin Cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Promoting justice and mercy in the Twin Cities.

  • Connecting people in need with helpful resources.

  • Supporting faithful, strong biblical leaders.
